Owa Lodge

Owa is located in Areguling, right in front of one of the finest waves in Lombok. Located 15 minutes from the tourist hub of Kuta, Areguling is a beautiful small village where the countryside meets the coastline. Wild beach, right and left break, buffalos, coconut trees and fishermen all await you here on the fantastic island of Lombok.

South Lombok offers a big range of quality waves within a short bike ride from the lodge all year round and for all levels. Areguling Right and Left waves work well from November until April and variable during May, June, September, October, and it is off between July and August because of the strong trad winds.

Areguling isn't suited for the very beginners, but there are other options a short drive away.

Intermediates with a few years of experience looking to improve their surfing skills will have a good time in Areguling.

Located just outside the little town of Kuta in Areguling, our lodge is nestled in the middle of green hills and coconut trees, only a few steps away from the ocean.

We believe our lodge is the reflection of our love for Indonesia and especially Lombok, simple but elegant, big spaces, lush garden, natural materials, and privacy for everyone. We have four private rooms in a two-story building, two ocean view rooms, and two lush garden rooms. The rooms are 50sq meters each. All have a big terrace/balcony where you can chill in a hammock while enjoying the ocean breeze. They have spacious interiors with high ceilings, ceiling fans, and AC, and en suite bathrooms with hot water.

We also have two new family bungalows with a king-size bed downstairs and two single beds in the mezzanine, a big outdoor bathroom, AC, hot water, and a nice terrace equipped with a comfy sofa.

Our facilities include a beautiful natural stone swimming pool, free drinking water, a bar and restaurant where you'll find board games and chilling spots. We also offer massages and body wraps in our little on-site outdoor spa. We can organize surf photoshoots during your trip too!

Restaurant

The restaurant is the heart of our lodge. A few years back, there was no phone signal or wifi, so our guests would hang out a lot there and meet the other guests, we loved it that way, but times have changed. But our restaurant area still has its communal vibes, with big wooden tables where our guests can share an ice-cold beer or a delicious smoothie.

First, you'll be treated to a delicious breakfast, including French pastries and bread, exotic fruits, and delicious coffee.

Our concept is to provide you with the best traditional Indonesian food not only from Lombok but from different islands. We include a lot of wood-fired dishes with a variety of sambals and rice, lots of vegetarian options, and using locally sourced products. Overall a great experience with a variety of flavors.

We also provide western dishes for those who need a taste from home.

Owa's SPA

Our garden spa has been designed for you to relax in a quiet and natural atmosphere. The spa is completely open so you can feel the breeze on your skin, and hear the sound of the waves and the birds singing.

Activities

Lombok has a lot to offer, surf of course, but there are also beautiful waterfalls, Mount Rinjani trekking, snorkeling trips. Any of those can be organized directly with us on site.

We want our guests to get the best surf while they're here, but we also want them to have a magical moment discovering the island, the people, the food, and the culture.
