Serra Grande
We are located in Serra Grande, a district of the city of Uruçuca, in the south of Bahia. This region is known as the "Cocoa Coast" and is famous for its biodiversity in terms of both fauna and flora, a rich topography, as well as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This is an environmental protection area where we can find some state and national parks and famous surf spots throughout Brazil.
The Pousada Bahia das Jangadas is located in the heart of the Atlantic Forest of southern Bahia, it takes its name in honor of the "jangadeiros", who are artisanal fishermen from the region who go out to sea in search of mainly Mahi Mahi and Bass.
They are specialists in fishing for these fish and have their traditional knowledge passed on from generation to generation.
Its Jangadas are produced with specific trees, known as Paus de Jangada, which are endemic to the region. Here at the inn, we value the culture and the local community and we are always integrated, participating, and encouraging the insertion of the community in the economy generated by tourism.
