The surf
If you're a beginner, winter is the best time to surf in this area, as the waves are more gentle. However, during the rainy season, from May to October, it is the best time for the waves and it's when most of the more experienced surfers come. At this time it is good from intermediate to advanced levels of surfing.

Hotel Mojón has a great location, a few steps from the beach. Each one of the 13 rooms has a private bathroom. The structure is very good, having parking, a swimming pool, a kitchen with a refrigerator, a mini skateboard ramp, and wifi. We offer Stargazing with Telescope and surfboard rental for those looking to surf during their stay.
Because electricity here is powered by solar and wind energy, there is no air conditioning on the property, only fans. Being an ecological place and the type of energy used in the hotel, the cleaning of the rooms and the change of sheets is done after the third night. There is no hot water. Meals can be prepared for guests for an additional cost, but this should be asked for upon reservation.
The beach right in front of our property is ideal for surfing or as a place of rest. It is located 15 minutes from the city of Huatulco and 2 hours from the city of Puerto Escondido.

This beach is ideal as a place to rest or to practice surfing. It is located 15 minutes from the city of Huatulco and 2 hours from the city of Puerto Escondido. Hotel Mojón started as a family project as an alternative to building something different from the city of Huatulco because it's right there on the beach and because it's a nice spot for practicing surfing.
At the same time, it was a good challenge because there were no services there, so it was a good experience to know about how to get water by making a well and how to produce electricity by solar panels, and since then, we have been advising and helping people from here about how to install solar panels and how to generate their own energy.
