Portugal is one of the most consistent places to surf in the world. Our west coast picks up most swells, which means that during the winter months, it gets big sometimes. That's the perfect season for advanced surfers. From mid-May to October, temperatures are warmer and the waves smaller, but there will always be a spot on for every level.

Due to the number of jetties that provide variety and stability to the sandbars, Costa Caparica is one of the most consistent surf areas near Lisbon. Here, you will have access to many different breaks for all levels.

Our surf camp is in the coastal town of Costa da Caparica, located just 15 minutes away from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon: one of the best surf spots in Portugal, which boasts the perfect waves to suit surfers of all levels.

Gota D'Áagua offers you a surf holiday experience like no other. Including accommodation, surf courses, daily group activities, amazing food, live music, unforgettable memories & much more. You will learn how to surf or improve upon your current skills while sharing lifelong memories with new people from around the world.

We offer surf holiday packages, including group surf courses for beginners and surf coaching for intermediate and advanced surfers. Our focus is on providing high-quality coaching from certified and highly experienced surf instructors utilizing the best equipment available. In addition, we run weekly theory lessons which are delivered by our coaches with presentations and video analysis designed to accelerate your progress inside the water.

Ensuring you have the right equipment and gear for the conditions has a huge impact on your performance. That’s why in our surf school we have a wide selection of surfboards and wetsuits for you to choose from to suit all surf conditions. We want you to make the most out of every surf session.

We have wide and regular soft boards, also known as foammies, that are perfect for beginners or for a fun session when the conditions aren’t optimal. Epoxy and high-performance boards are also available for more advanced surfers. In addition, we have a full range of wetsuits in all sizes and thicknesses. We ensure our wetsuits are always clean and kept in good condition. Our goal is to keep you warm and provide you with the necessary equipment so that you can focus on just one thing, surfing.

Activities

Although our main focus will always be on delivering the best quality surf lessons throughout your stay with us, we still want to ensure you have a range of other great activities and experiences to take part in during your free time. During your stay, we offer lots of activities (free and paid) that can be added to your package. From magical sunsets on the Arriba Fossil cliffs and exploring hidden beaches to BBQ nights and beach parties, it’s sure to be a surf holiday like no other.
