The surf
The beach of Somo is one of the referring surf spots in Cantabria. It is also one of the most consistent beaches in Spain, because it is oriented to the open sea and receives good waves throughout the year. If there are no waves here, you probably will not find waves all over northern Spain.
This is an idyllic place for learning and practicing surfing, paddle surfing and bodyboarding. The Playa de Somo is located within the first natural reserve of surf in Spain. Somo is one of the surf meccas in Spain and one of the surf paradises in Cantabria. It has excellent conditions for learning and surfing, with good waves all year round, suitable for all levels.

We have been organizing surf camps for children and adults for many years on the beach of Somo, Cantabria. Each of them is tailored on-demand to suit each of our group's needs and better help them develop their skills. Roxy Surf Camp
Live an unforgettable surf camp alongside Roxy and the Cántabra Surf School. Learn to surf, or improve your surfing skills with professionals. Many surf, skate, SUP activities and above all a lot of fun. For girls only. Ages: 12 or older.

Adults Surf Camp
Our adult surf camps combine surfing and camping in one package. Learn to surf or improve your surfing skills and meet many other surfers from different parts of the world.
Intensive Surf Camp
If the normal surf camps you are short and you want to have more hours of surfing classes and spend more time in the water, this is your choice. Combine accommodation + our intensive surf coaching in one package. You will notice a great leap and evolution in your learning. If you are motivated, we like nothing better than teaching surfing lessons and teaching the magic of surfing to surfers like you.

Founded and directed since 1991, by David García “Capi” – Champion of Spain and Cantabria of surf. Many years in competition, a lifetime dedicated to surfing and currently an instructor and free surfer. For more than 36 years, he has surfed, competed and traveled all over the world. The last 27 years of his life has been focused on the instruction and direction of the Escuela Cantabra de Surf. Now, Capi wants to share his knowledge and the love and respect for the ocean with you and teach everyone the magic and experience of surfing.
