The surf
There are two seasons in Costa Rica: The dry season (October-April) and the Green Season (May-August). The Green season, also known as the wet season, is the top time for surfing on the Pacific coast and Santa Teresa, bringing very reliable SW and W swells that keep it surfable every day. The dry season is still great, though. The waters are warm and the waves are less powerful and friendly. All year long, you can find spots to either learn to surf or hit the lip.

Cuatro Vientos is an apartment and guest house complex made for retreats and vacation rentals. The accommodation offers you a unique possibility to work abroad or to have a step up on privacy while being surrounded by the wild Costa Rican Jungle.
This new complex is located in Malpais, one minute away from the beach and ten minutes away from Santa Teresa downtown. It will provide you a perfect opportunity to enjoy the quiet environment of the landscape with the best Wi-Fi connection in town.
The complex host will be happy to welcome you and answer all your inquiries from the very moment of your arrival. She will be there for you to book activities or restaurants, guide you in town, etc. All your needs will be covered.
The complex has different spaces that will adapt to your needs: choose between our guesthouse or private apartments. All of our accommodations have A/C and parking spaces. We also offer some shared rooms: co-work area, garden, barbecue area, fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. Cuatro Vientos is centrally located in Malpais: just a few minutes away from the supermarket.
Private apartments
They have a private deck and garden view. Private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, A/C, parking space, private desk. It comes with a queen-sized bed, private Wi-Fi network and antenna.
Guest House
Choose between a triple room with a private en suite bathroom or a double room with a shared bathroom.
Triple room: It comes with a queen-sized bed and single bed.
Double room: It comes with a queen-sized bed.
The guest house counts with a big shared desk, lounge area with comfortable sofas, barbecue area and fully equipped new kitchen.
The neighborhood
Cuatro Vientos is located in Malpaís downtown: one minute away from the beach on foot and ten minutes away from Santa Teresa by car. Supermarket, restaurant, coffee shop and beach access within walking distance. You will find the best surfing spots only 10 minutes away.
The complex is within walking distance to the Fishermen village, to one of the most beautiful beaches in town: Playa Suecos and Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve (one of the blue zones in the world.)
The town is only 15 minutes away from Cabuya and 30 minutes away from Montezuma waterfalls.

We have been living in Santa Teresa for more than 5 year. After enjoying the routine of meeting and hosting new people from all over the globe on our hostel, La Posada Santa Teresa, we decided it was time to expand our horizons towards new vacation and retreat options.
We pride ourserlves for having an amazing team focused in providing the best experience to our guests, specially, our hosts and activities leaders. We have learned that one of the most important aspects our guests enjoy is the human and personal part of the vacation and feeling accompanied and taken care of throughout their trip. Guests will always be able to reach our team and have a 1 to 1 communication with our host.
In this spectacular new jungle complex we will make sure that if there is something our guests are interested in around Santa Teresa, they will do it. We have all the activities in and around town so guests won't miss any experience during their stay at Cuatro Vientos.
