The mellow sand bar in Sayulita’s main beach is an ideal surf break for beginner surf lessons, while the left and right point breaks have more to offer experienced surfers. Beginner surfers will be standing and riding waves by the end of the beginner surf lesson, while more experienced guests will improve their existing surfing abilities.

Mexico’s most famous surf town offers great waves and a laid-way-back atmosphere. We offer surfing for beginners in Sayulita to skill improvement for intermediate surfers at brilliant breaks – this spot is longboarders paradise!

WildMex is located just steps away from the main beach in Sayulita, making it an ideal location for your Sayulita surfing needs. We provide beginner surf lessons, intermediate surf lessons, surfboard rentals and stand-up paddleboard rentals, and guided surf trips to other surf breaks in the area.

Mountain bike

Mountain biking in Sayulita and the Punta Mita area is a great way to experience the local jungle and explore nearby beaches and towns. Our MTB tours range from novice to experienced, with MTB trails that go from mellow dirt roads to Technical Singletrack. Available from November to July every year. We can organize special tours during the rainy season depending on the weather conditions.

We have two great mountain bike trail system options for our tours: either the Malpaso Singletracks MTB Tour for intermediate or advanced riders or the Punta Sayulita MTB Tour for beginner riders, although both options can be adjusted to suit your needs and level of ability.

The Malpaso mountain bike trails between Sayulita and San Pancho are on private property and either a guided trip or a permit is required to ride them. All our MTB tours are guided by local riders who helped build the bike trails and know them well. 100% of the profits from our MTB tours and rentals go towards cleaning and maintaining these local mountain bike trails.

Jungle hiking

Jungles where jaguars roam, beautiful hidden beaches, and exotic tropical wildlife: hiking in the Sayulita and the Punta Mita area is an unexpected surprise that few know about. With our jungle tours, you will hike along shady paths, scramble up rocks, and emerge onto rocky outcrops with 360-degree views of the surrounding jungles and beaches.

Many of the trails in the area are built and maintained by WildMex, and we are proud to show them off. Join our Wildmex guides on one of our breathtaking hikes, either hiking to tranquil San Pancho or trekking to the top of Monkey Mountain.

Marietas Island

The Islas Marietas is a natural wonder and one of the most beautiful sights in Mexico. Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in these spectacular surroundings on our half-day Marietas Islands adventure. Swim in clear blue waters, relax on pristine beaches, and snorkel in natural coves. Marvel at the biodiversity of the surrounding ocean, unique for its variety of wildlife, including multicolored fish, dolphins and humpback whales (December – March).
