Costa Rica has all that is necessary for a real surfer's playground - the rocky points, river mouths, reefs, and offshore islands in line both with the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Temperatures range from 80's to low 90's, and you will want to prevent sunburns with some sunscreen.

Over the years, our resort has become a highly desired destination for those looking for the ultimate surf experience. Playa Hermosa’s beautiful coastline and consistent surf attracts surfers from all around the world who, usually, extend their stay after a few days of pure joy and excitement surfing our breaks.

Located in front of Playa Hermosa, our guests have access to beautiful and consistent waves throughout their stay. Our resort was designed and built in 2008 with one goal - offer the convenience of the perfect location for those seeking the best place to enjoy a surf vacation.

Right on the beach, we have one-bedroom studios and two oceanfront apartments so our guests can choose what better fits their travel style. All rooms have access to a swimming pool located on the ground floor of our building along with our hammocks and ocean view rest area.

Surf packages

Along with our accommodations, we also offer surf packages for all our guests who either want to learn a new sport or just improve their skills. Our world-famous surf spots are one of the best in Central America to learn how to surf and our instructors' knowledge of the area plus surfing experience are the perfect combination for a life-changing surf trip, that will make you want to return for more.

Our learn to surf package is full of comprehensive instruction that teaches the basics of the board so each surfer feels confident, secure and safe. Each session starts with a surf check of the waves and conditions for that day. The basics of how to control the board in the lineup, the pop-up, paddling techniques, and basic surfing etiquette. Before you know it: you will be up and riding!

Fishing charter

All our guests can experience a Costa Rican fishing charter. This region is internationally known for unrivaled sport fishing and attracts avid fishermen from all over the world. Your offshore choice can be selected: blue, black striped marlin, and sailfish. Prefers inshore? Mahi mahi dorado, wahoo, tuna, roosterfish, snapper, grouper, among many others! Calm waters of the Central Pacific zone and short travel time to catch fish make Los Suenos Marina beyond compare when it comes to big game fishing. Half-day, full-day inshore or offshore can be arranged for all our guests for an extra fee.

Scuba diving

If scuba diving is on your bucket list, then we can help you check that out. When not surfing or relaxing in one of our studios, why not learn to dive and improve some of life’s most important lessons: remain calm, don’t panic, and relax (techniques that will be necessary underwater!)? We offer a learn to dive package for all those who have never dived before and always dreamed of exploring the wonderful underwater world of scuba! You will begin your training in the pool before progressing to calm waters in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Costa Rica. The package includes earning your PADI Open Water Diver Certification. All our classes are ministered by direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
