Costa Rica has two seasons. From October through April, it's the dry season, when the waters are warm and the waves are friendly and less powerful.

From May through August, we have the Green season, also known as the wet season. That's the top time for surfing on the Pacific coast and Santa Teresa gets very reliable SW and W swells that keep it surfable every day. Even though that's considered the best time of the year, you can find beginner to advanced spots all year long.

Santa Teresa surf is at its best during the low tides hours, as the breaks are often faster and more fun to ride. Here, surfing is mostly about riding fast waves and catching world-class breaks. While there are definitely some fun spots for beginners, this area is among the best for experts. There are quite a few surf spots in Santa Teresa, but not all have well-known names.

Surrounded by white-sand beaches and a host of natural wonders, Selina Santa Teresa North attracts yoga practitioners, surfers and artists with its bohemian vibe. On-site highlights include a bar, communal kitchen, restaurant and cinema room. Plus, there's a wave for every skill and surf lessons for all levels.

After breakfast at the juice bar, head to the beach and spend the day snorkeling or swimming with sharks. Then, take a day trip to Hacienda Ario Sabanero, El Chorro waterfall and Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve before visiting our holistic center or dancing barefoot in the sand at one of our full moon parties. Activities

You'll have plenty to do in the city when you visit Selina. Spend the day paddling, snorkeling or checking out some amazing marine animals. Yoga is on the rise: take a class with our experienced instructors and stay zen. Selina has plenty of activities to create your yoga retreat combined with our various wellness activities.

Eight kilometers to the south, explore the 30,000.00m² Cabo Blanco nature reserve and see how many of the 150 species of birds you can spot, including brown pelicans, perky gulls, ospreys and boobies. It's a mecca for wildlife enthusiasts and anyone looking to get in touch with their wild side. At dusk, find your rhythm on a local dance floor and stay up all night dancing to international DJs.
