Scorpion Bay Hotel

Our most consistent months for surf are June, July and August. As you move away from those months, the surf gets less consistent and December and January are our least consistent months. However, it is impossible to predict Mother Nature and there is always a chance for scoring good breaks.

San Juanico is a coastal city that offers the authentic "Baja Spirit" experience. This is the perfect place for travelers looking for amazing surf, peace and quiet amidst the beauty of nature. The town has a vibrant culture and lots of adventure options to explore the unique beauty of the surroundings of this unique village.

Our Hotel is located inside the pueblo of San Juanico and is two blocks from First Point, the most family-friendly beach. It is approximately a 20-minute walk to Second Point, where most surfers reside.

Our hotel has a common area that includes televisions with cable channels, a reading library, bonfire pit, BBQ, and foosball table, and the amenties and services include 24-hour on-site management, wi-fi, free continental breakfast, secured parking, air conditioning, hot showers, surfboard and SUP board rentals, beach equipment rental, special trips including fishing, restaurant and bar.

Restaurant

The restaurant is currently serving continental breakfast for guests of the hotel between 8 am and 10 am. The restaurant will otherwise be open on a limited basis with a limited menu. If you have a group of 10 or more people, please contact our office for more details.

Surf & other activities

The amazing surf is what attracts lots of travelers to Scorpion Bay as this is famous for the perfect peeling wave - ideal for longboards. San Juanico has a lot more to offer and it is possible to organize different expeditions during your stay at the Scorpion Bay Hotel, such as fishing with a local, shark tooth exploration, prehistoric rock explorations, and horseback rides, whale tours, and of course, surf lessons.
