The surf
El Salvador has a great variety of waves and surf structures. March and April are shoulder season months. Then, from May through September, we get bigger waves, better for advanced surfers. October and November are shoulder season months and from December to February, waves are small and gentle but fun.

The lodge
One Wave Surf House is a private luxury vacation rental villa overlooking the picturesque Pacific Ocean in El Sunzal, El Salvador. The ultra-modern open design of the main house provides breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding hillside while allowing gentle tropical breezes to pass through the entire structure.
The villa sleeps up to 12 people and includes a swimming pool as well as a huge roof-top deck, perfect for yoga, star gazing, and group gatherings.
Rooms and house structure
On the main floor, adjacent to the living room, is the master bedroom, which has a vaulted ceiling and a beautiful view of the property and the surrounding area. The room includes two twin-sized beds (or 1 king) with memory foam mattresses. The room is comfortable year-round as it includes air conditioning, a ceiling fan, black-out curtains, and reading lamps. Furniture includes a nightstand, a luggage bench, and a roomy closet with an electronic safe. This room has a separate entrance to the patio and a large en-suite bathroom.
On the main floor, next to the dining room, is the bunk room. This room has 4 custom-built twin bunk beds with stairs for easy access. The room includes a separate entrance from the patio with a beautiful view of the pool and the surrounding area. The room is equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, as well as black-out curtains and reading lamps. This room also has a closet with an electronic safe. This room has a large en-suite bathroom.
The open-concept main floor serves as the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The entire front wall of the main floor consists of sliding panels that open the entire floor to let the breeze flow through the house and provide an amazing wide-angle view of pool, ocean, and the surrounding area. The dining area includes a large custom-built dining table that comfortably seats 12 people. The living area has a roomy, custom-built sofa for lounging. The modern-concept kitchen is furnished with hardwood cabinets, granite countertops, and top-of-the-line appliances: gas range, a large refrigerator, a microwave oven, and loads of other kitchen equipment. There is also a gas BBQ on the main floor’s outdoor patio.
Yoga deck
The upstairs yoga deck in the main house is massive. Practice your downward dog, grab a bean bag, or fall back into a hammock to enjoy the expansive ocean views. There is a half-bathroom located on the yoga deck. The deck has large sunscreens and several ceiling fans to keep things cool and breezy.
Full-service surf and yoga retreats are welcome to use items from our well-equipped Manduka yoga closet. The yoga deck is also rigid to accommodate aerial and hammock yoga.

- Laundry service is available on-site for $5 per load (excessively sandy or soiled laundry will not be accepted)

Tyler Trafas
One Wave Surf House is managed by Tyler Trafas, the owner of El Salvador Surf Retreats and One Wave Surf in Los Angeles, California. Many of Tyler's favorite surf spots are in El Salvador, and he's been coordinating group retreats here for many years.
