With excellent conditions for surfing all year round, the Viana do Castelo area is perfect for surfers, no matter the level. Located in Northern Portugal´s gem, Viana do Castelo, FeelViana offers a comprehensive set of packages adapted to your needs with the sole aim of providing the perfect surfing holidays, whether you are intermediate or advanced.

The lodge
FeelViana is a sports hotel located next to Cabedelo Beach. It is one of the most famous surf spots in Northern Portugal and certainly one of the best in the country. We are a sustainable four-star superior hotel, made from wood and perfectly framed in the surrounding landscape.
Besides our privileged location, our lodge has interior and exterior pools, large glass windows, and 55 rooms with a functional décor designed to make you feel at home and truly appreciate your stay. In addition, all our rooms have a lovely balcony to allow you to relax in harmony with nature.
Restaurant
We have several eat and drink areas, representing the perfect balance between setting and delicious, seasonal, local food: Restaurant, Tavern, Beach Bar, and Wake Park Bar. At the heart of our menus are the fresh vegetables, the seasonal products, the local fish and good quality meat. It is a celebration of our beach and our nature. Our concept focuses on sustainable, honest food filled with texture, color and detail. With a strong connection with the outdoors, the views are from the Cabedelo pine wood, the Atlantic ocean or the Lima River.
Activities
Portugal has exceptional conditions to practice surf all year round. Cabedelo is our beautiful, accessible and vast sandy beach. Our Water Center has everything a surfer needs to have the holiday of a lifetime: various equipment that suits any surfing level. We also offer surf lessons and guidance.
Not a surfer? From our swimming pools to our gym, personal training sections or our several water sports lessons and equipment, you will have many different sports to practice and discover during your stay with us. Kitesurfing, wing foiling, windsurfing, SUP, wakeboarding, wake surfing, wake foiling and biking are all available and will become part of your daily experience in our lodge.
We also offer retreats for those interested in becoming a yogi or just changing their lifestyle. Increase your knowledge of yoga and dedicate yourself to finding your inner balance. To complete the experience, indulge in our treatments and enjoy the benefits of Ayurvedic medicine.
The Perfect Day
Our perfect day starts by waking up super early and enjoying an incredible surf session during sunrise, fully connected with the momentum. Glassy conditions, low tide and the “Ponton” (point break) pumping endless right-hand waves and beholding the view while ripping great waves.
After a great surf session, and with the batteries recharged, an incredible hearty & healthy breakfast is waiting in the Taberna, where you can enjoy the breakfast overlooking the pine forest in front of the hotel and hear the amplified sound of the waves. Finally, after a beautiful day enjoying the area, the day ends with an incredible yoga session that focuses on surf stretching exercises or a relaxing massage.

It all started with a passion for the sea, adventure, nature, and a healthy lifestyle, which necessarily includes sports. Some years ago, while riding the windy sky of Cabedelo, the dream, the desire, of watching the rise of a hotel at the beach where the lovers of action and nature could practice their favorite sports, was born. The goal would be to offer a more comfortable and relaxed setting for families, children and groups of friends.
Ten years later, the dream came true in the form of Feelviana. Sturdy, yet discreet the building blends in with the landscape. All “dressed” in wood, when seen from the Santa Luzia Sanctuary, the hotel can’t be spotted as pine trees help camouflage.

Feelviana was granted with the EU Ecolabel - a label of environmental excellence awarded to products and services meeting high ecological standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal.

In 2021 we maintain this commitment and, therefore, we defined a new Action Plan for 2021, which naturally aims to implement more sustainable environmental practices.
