Costa Rica has two main surf seasons. From October to April, it's the dry season, when the water is warm and the waves are friendly and less powerful. The green season from May to August is also known as the wet season. That's the SW and W swells keep it surfable every day. There are waves for all surfing levels during this time of year.
Casa Esperanza is located on an estate with three other houses. Each one of the houses has its own private terrace. Located on the hill, 1.5km from the beaches and the village of Santa Teresa, a 4x4 vehicle is essential to get there.
The house has a great structure, including a washing machine, bed linen and towels, A/C, a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, coffee maker, and free parking. The swimming pool and the pool house are to be shared between travelers.
Santa Teresa
There are many ways to experience Santa Teresa and we like to encourage the belief that everything is possible. Whether you choose to stay in our "Casa Esperanza" or in our expansive villa, you will have peace and quiet that is hard to find down the hill.
Here we take in the sunsets from our tranquil perch above it all and know we can cruise down at any moment for a nice dinner or an early morning surf. Be sure to rent a 4x4 as the hill is no joke, especially in the rainy season! We can arrange for ATV rentals if you need them and point you in all the cool things to do around Santa Teresa.
Around 10 years ago, I bought this hilltop property with my husband and began our journey of creating the Todo Es Posible (Everything is Possible) retreat. Back then, Santa Teresa was still a pretty quiet town and it has certainly come to life over the years.
What’s great about our location is that we are just up the hill from the center of town with fantastic ocean and sunset views and none of the noise down below.
