Designed to enhance the skills and techniques of surfers who have moved past the beginner stage of longboarding and are looking to gain confidence in a variety of wave conditions, develop fluidity in their movements and maximise style points on each wave. We target what YOU want to learn and develop in your surfing along with our maximum groups of 4, in-water coaching, photo/video analysis, and a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio.

The art of longboarding

Take your longboard riding to that next level! Dive deeper into classic logging where we’ll explore aspects such as dropknee & cross step cutbacks, nose riding and fancier moves. If High Performance longboarding is your thing, we can work on off the tops, floaters and powerful cutbacks.

Longboarders dream setup

Santa Teresa is a perfect spot for longboarders, offering a combination of mellow, consistent waves that allow for smooth rides and plenty of opportunities to work on style. The waves at Santa Teresa often have a smooth, rolling shape that’s perfect for nose rides, cross-stepping, and carving turns. The point breaks around Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa, while better suited for more experienced surfers, can also offer long rides for longboarders when the swell is just right.

We’ve got you covered

From airport pick-up/drop-off to equipment (boards, rash tops, wetsuits) to a photographer for surf analysis, we’ll set up everything so you can focus on catching waves and relaxing between sessions.

This trip includes 4 full days and 1 half day of surfing. On arrival day guests will have the chance to settle into the hotel, meet your fellow surfer and start stretching for a big week!. The next 4 days will be full days with the last day a sunrise session before departure.

You’ll have 2-3 surf sessions on full days and one session on arrival/departure days. We’ll also have a beach set-up with umbrellas, snacks, and cold drinks so you can relax between sessions.

We’ll have a maximum of 4 and a minimum of 2. We’ll maintain at least a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio so you get the most out of the experience. Come solo or bring friends!

The minimum experience requirements is its expected as an intermediate you know how to turtle roll, stand up without placing knees on board and ride the face of the wave.

Should I bring my own boards?

We have a range of longboard and log options that are included in the program rate. If there is a specific length and volume board you require please let us know well in advanced so we can source the board. Rentals range from $30 – $40 per day, can be paid on arrival.

Whats not included?

Flights and meals are not included. Your guide will take you to a local restaurant for lunch where you can refuel with some tacos and burritos. And for dinner you can explore all of the great restaurants near your hotel (we’ll have recommendations!)

How well do i need to surf?

Is it safe to travel solo?

Absolutely! The people are amazing and you’re perfectly safe walking around at night visiting the different cafés, bars and restaurants.

How do i get there?

We’ll pick you up and drop you off at Cobano Airport (ACO) which is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. You’ll first need to fly to either San Jose (SJO) or Liberia (LIR) and take a domestic flight with Sansa to Cobano (ACO). Airport pickup will be at 2pm so plan to have your flight land before 1pm. Airport drop-off will be at 12pm so you’ll want your flight to depart after 1:30 pm

Can non surfers join the trip?

Yes! It is just $470 for non surfers to join the trip. Non surfers aren’t guaranteed to be able to come out on our daily surf trips as it depends on space in the vehicles. Will certainly do what we can to help facilitate their stay as best we can throughout the trip.

Can i arrive earlier or stay later?

For sure! We can organise additional nights before or after your trip. Just a note, there will be a charge for the transfer being outside the schedule group transfer.
