Meet Coach Glen Gaudion, an ASI certified surf instructor with 15+ years experience in 7 countries. He’s one of Thermal’s go-to Mexico guides and has been living in Cabo for the past 5 years.
Waves on tap
The Sea of Cortez offers a truly spectacular coastline where the desert meets the sea, home to a selection of incredible, world-class waves. Carefully chosen to suit all abilities, from first-time surfers to experienced riders, each surf location is just a short drive from our accommodation. Surf sessions run for 2–3 hours and are tailored to each group, with guests divided into small groups by ability, ensuring personalised guidance and allowing everyone to maximise their time in the water.
Our little corner of paradise
This boutique hotel features a selection of Ocean and Hobbit Suites, each offering breathtaking ocean views and air conditioning. Every room includes a private terrace or deck, perfect for whale watching and observing the region’s vibrant desert birdlife. Thanks to the remote setting, nights are truly immersive: lose yourself beneath a sky filled with stars while listening to the natural soundtrack of the desert and the ocean.

From airport pick-up/drop-off to equipment (boards, rash tops, wetsuits) to a photographer for surf analysis, we’ll set up everything so you can focus on catching waves and relaxing between sessions.

With a fully customised itinerary, we tailor each journey to your group, whether your focus is surf or a balanced blend of adventure, wellness, and relaxation.
Daily personalized surf guiding and coaching
Only a short drive from the accommodation, our surf session go for 2-3hrs. With an an option to split into smaller groups based on skill, we can schedule surf in both the morning and afternoons
Surf equipment
Your welcome to bring your own boards. We will provided all soft-tops for beginners and a range of options of hardboards. If there is a specific board request they can be rented.
Onsite photographer
A photographer will join a session each day to capture the moments. Additional session can be planned/booked in advance.
Airport transfers
We’ll have all your return transportation covered, picking you up from the San Jose International Airport (SJD)
When should we start planning?
We recommend booking this atleast 6-8 months out to ensure a full property book out and secure that dates you are after.
Some of us are non surfers, still a good option?
We cater to mixed groups of surfers and non-surfers alike. Whether you’re looking to learn, unwind, or explore, every experience is fully curated.
We can arrange surf lessons for beginners, have beach setups for those who prefer to relax, or cultural experiences.
How well do I need to surf?
Cabo has surf for all levels. Absolute first-time surfers can do lessons in comfortable slow waves. Advanced & Intermediates can find super-long walls, with most spots in Cabo suiting all level surfers looking for super fun 3-5 ft waves.
What type of waves will we be surfing?
We will have a variety of waves on offer on this trip that will suit both longboard and short boarders. Conditions aren’t garanteed but we’ll get you on the best waves of the day.
Should I bring my boards?
More than welcome to bring your own boards.
What does the daily schedule look like?
As this is your private experience, each day will be planned around the groups requests. As the forecasts develop we will be able to start putting tother recommended itineraries a few days out from your arrival
Should I have travel insurance?
We do require medical coverage, including emergency evacuation (helivac), given the remote location.
This place looks remote, is it?
Yes. The location sits on the East Cape of Baja, approximately 30 minutes from San José del Cabo. While dining and nightlife options are intentionally limited, the area is all about surf, deep relaxation, and immersing yourself in the raw beauty of the Baja Peninsula.

Requires 30% deposit. Non refundable within 2 months of departure.
