A long-time Cerritos resident, Juan has spent his life either in or near the ocean. Surfing and competing as much as possible in his youth, he followed his passion to create his profession. To help others make the most of their time in the waves, he founded the Cerritos Lifeguard Foundation and a surf school right on the sand. Whether you want the ultimate fish taco or simply surf your brains out south of the border, Juan is your guy.

Who’s it for
With constant swells and a variety of breaks, Cerritos has something for every level of surfer. A short drive from the fun, forgiving waves of the main beach are rocky reefs and long-walled points, and even a secret spot or two.
When to go
Similar to its northerly neighbor, Baja sees the biggest swells and offshore winds from November to March. But this doesn’t rule out Summer as a good time to visit when South swells abound and the water’s at its warmest.

How many surfers is this ideally for?
This adventure is designed for 2-8 travelers, but larger groups can be accommodated by request. An array of great waves within a short drive makes Cerritos a great strike mission for solo travelers as well.
How well do I need to surf?
Cerritos offers something for rippers as well as newbies but seasonality can play a role in when to visit. While larger winter swells require proficiency in the lineup, summer can be a great window for surfers just getting started.
What is typically included?
This adventure includes surf guiding, accommodations, and hosting for your entire trip which means you can focus on the waves.
